The following incidents were taken, in part, from the Mesquite Police Department blotter for the week of July 29 – August 4, 2012. All persons involved in these incidents are presumed innocent until proven guilty by the court.
7/30/12 Fraud: A citizen received a telephone call from an unknown person who was selling something and would send a runner to the residence to pick up payment. The citizen said she would check with police first and the caller never called back.
7/30/12 Theft: A resident on Riverside Road reported that prescription medications were missing.
7/31/12 Citizen Assist: A citizen requested a police report for an ongoing harassment/threatening issue he has with another neighbor in his HOA. The HOA is aware of the incidents and advised him to contact police for a matter of record.
8/1/12 Graffiti: Officers responded to a local park on a report of graffiti on several items.
8/1/12 Fight: Police responded to a residence on a report of a fight between males. One suspect fled before police arrived.
8/2/12 Graffiti: Officers responded to an apartment complex on Sun Valley Drive on a report of several buildings and mail boxes being criminally damaged by graffiti.
8/2/12 Fight: Police responded to a park on Old Mill Road on a report of a fight between two adult males. One person fled before police arrived.
8/3/12 Theft: Police took a report of a theft from a residence on Pinehurst Drive.
8/3/12 Burglary: Police took a report of a burglary on E. Mesquite Boulevard.
8/3/12 Citizen assist: Police responded to Mesa View Hospital regarding a broken water line that was shooting rocks into the air. The rocks landed on six vehicles causing damage to them.
8/4/12 Fight: Police responded to a residence about several people fighting. Officers determined a crime had occurred and two individuals were taken into custody.
8/4/12 Graffiti: Police took a report of graffiti on Second South Street.
8/4/12 Theft: Officers responded to the Mesquite Recreation Center to take a report of a wallet and cell phone being stolen.
