State Senate Majority Leader Steven Horsford released the following statement Monday, Aug. 6, regarding the opening of the new VA Hospital in North Las Vegas:
"Today’s VA Hospital opening in North Las Vegas demonstrates our state’s serious commitment to making sure that those who have served our country are respected and cared for when they return home. This new facility, the first VA Hospital to be built in 17 years, is a one-stop shop for
veteran health care and assistance services. This hospital could employ as many as 2,300 doctors, nurses, and other health care workers, and it will be a hub for developing and improving health care for veterans in the future."
"Our veterans have put their lives on the line so that we may live in peace, and while our debt of gratitude can never fully be repaid, we owe them the best care we can provide.”
