The following incidents were taken, in part, from the Mesquite Police Department Blotter for the week of July 8-14, 2012. All persons involved in these incidents are presumed innocent until proven guilty by the court.
7/8/12 Burglary: Police responded to a report of a residential burglary on Appletree Lane.
7/9/12 Suspicious Circumstances: A citizen reported the loss of prescription medication.
7/9/12 Intoxicated Driver: Officers responded to a parking lot of a business regarding a suspected drunk driver. A female driver of a vehicle was found to be in possession of marijuana.
7/10/12 Burglary: Officers responded to an attempted vehicle burglary on N. Arrowhead Lane.
7/10/12 Theft: A citizen reported the theft of jewelry at a residence on Orion Lane.
7/10/12 Fraud: Police took a report of unauthorized bank charges from a resident.
7/10/12 Fatal Traffic Accident: Mesquite Police assisted with a fatal accident on I-15. Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating.
7/12/12 Attempted Burglary: Officers were called to a residence on Silver Road on a report of an attempted burglary.
7/12/12 Burglary: Officers responded to a report of a possible burglary at a residence on Mesa Boulevard. It was determined that no items had been stolen.
7/12/12 Suspicious Circumstances: Police responded to a call regarding unlawful acts with a computer.
7/13/12 Indecent Exposure: A male was arrested at a casino after exposing himself to another person.
7/13/12 Fraudulent Activity: Mesquite Police were contacted by Cedar City Police about stolen checks being cashed at a local business.
7/13/12 Suspicious Circumstances: A male attempted to deposit a cashiers check at a casino but left before the transaction was completed. Officers recovered the check and are attempting to contact the owner.
7/13/12 Recovered Stolen Property: Police recovered a stolen iPod at a local pawn shop.
7/13/12 Reckless Driver: Officers located a reckless driver in the parking lot of a gas station. Subsequent investigation resulted in a female being arrested for driving under the influence of drugs, drug trafficking – methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
7/14/12 Unwanted Person: Police responded to a shopping center regarding a report of unwanted solicitation handouts. The property manager requested that the persons refrain from further handouts.
7/15/12 Intoxicated Person: A citizen asked police to remove her intoxicated friend from her residence.
