Cellio Cy Colacino

Cellio Cy Colacino, 89, passed away at home on April 27, 2012, in Mesquite NV. Cy was born September 25, 1922 in Des Moines, IA. Cy was a winter resident of Mesquite for the last 15 years; his permanent home was in Nathrup, CO. Cy was raised in Milwaukee, WI.

Cy met his future wife Delores Hoffmeister at a horse stable in Milwaukee where they both rode. In 1947 they married and together they worked building homes and raising purebred Arabian horses. In 1963 they moved to a farm in Princeton, WI where they then raised their 4 sons. Cy was a car salesman in the area until he retired in

1978 and moved to Howard, CO where he and Delores owned and operated the Vidal Motel for many years. When his wife passed away he moved to Chateau Chaparral in Nathrop, Co.

Cy is survived by his sons, Daniel (Sally) Viola, WI, Mike of Alma, CO, his grandchildren Emily Colacino, Ali Clyne and Ashley Bednark, as well as many wonderful caring nieces, nephews and friends.

He was proceeded in death by his wife Delores; sons Chris and Pat ; Sister Anita Herman; brothers Jack, Joe and Vic.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Virgin Valley Mortuary, 320 E. Old Mill Road, Mesquite, NV. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date in Princeton,WI.
