Posting Date: 04/10/2012
With so many different art forms, from the easily recognized style of Geraldine Zarate to the truly 3-D fiber art of Terrie McArthur, you're sure to find art you'll enjoy at this month's exhibit titled "5-D" at the Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery.
Playing of a combination of two-dimensional and three-dimensional art forms, the Gallery is on full tilt during April with a dazzling collection of art.The eclectic collection of pottery, sculpture, gourds, blown glass and more, displays an abundance of original artwork by the Virgin Valley Artists Association.
From the beautiful blown-glass work of Doug Lorenz to the delightful, fun style of Rich Killian, you could spend hours choosing your favorite. The exhibit draws you to the "Saguaro Crowns" from Kent Lang to the "Loving Embrace" in alabaster by Jana Ward. There's fun stuff from old-time favorite Jan Stensland to her beautiful gourds. Koko has lighted ceramics and Cheri Vincent's pots will fascinate you. If that's not enough, there's even more from a wide variety of local artists.
The exhibition shows April 2 to May 5.It is dynamic, diverse, decorative, daring, and dollar-wise: “5D.”
