Mobile Vet Center begins rounds in Mesquite in January

Starting January 2014 the Mobile Vet Center will be providing mobile mental health care and outreach services to combat veterans in Mesquite, Nevada. Dr. Michael Schaugaard, Licensed Clinical Psychologist and David Nutter, Readjustment Counseling Technician & Board Certified Chaplin will be traveling to Mesquite on Thursday of every other week. Vets Center Fresh Produce Sale scheduled for Saturday

The Mesquite Veterans Center will have a fresh produce sale on Saturday, Dec. 14 beginning at 6 a.m. at the Center located at 830 Hafen Lane.
Produce grown fresh on the farm near Yuma, AZ will be brought in by the Veterans for the sale that is open to the public.
Vet Center Electric Bike Raffle underway

The Mesquite Veterans Center is raffling off an electric bike that was donated to them to help raise funds for the center. The bike has three wheels, and two electric gears. It also comes with a helmet. The total value of the bike is approximately $2,000. [Read more]

VFW Ladies Auxiliary recruiting new members

The local Virgin Valley Post #7385 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Mesquite voted last month to form a new Ladies Auxiliary for the Post. They have begun recruiting for 15 or more new female members to start the new Auxiliary. The President of the State of Nevada VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Mary Stroud, has selected Kathy Hollinger, Secretary of the State Ladies Auxiliary, to be the Organizer for the new Auxiliary. Sign up lists for the Mesquite VFW Ladies Auxiliary have collected at least 14 interested ladies at the Mesquite Veterans Health Fair, and at the Veterans Day Picnic last weekend. ‘All That Jazz’ dancers perform for Shriners

Ladies from the dance group called “All That Jazz” performed Nov. 1 at the Elks Lodge #2811, for visiting Shriners from Salt Lake as a prelude to Mesquite’s Veterans Day Parade. The group is part of the Mesquite Recreation Center Dance program.

Mesquite Vets Announce Parade Grand Marshall

Pizza Hut, Veterans Team Up - You Win
